Norfork Lake Tournament

The Norfork Lake Tournament will be this Saturday, April 6th at the Jordan Landing.  We will try to launch as early as possible, so try to be there by 6:30.  We will plan to launch at 7:00, but I would like to leave the ramp around 6:45, if possible.  If we know everybody is there and the weather cooperates for lighting, we will take off before 7:00.  It looks like the weather will be beautiful, so we should be able to get on the water pretty early.

I look forward to seeing everyone there.  We have had at least 20 boats for both of the first two tournaments.  I hope we can have around that many again!

Good luck and Be Careful!!!

Congratulations to Doug Cockrill and Dennis Browning!  They came to the scales with only four bass, but those four bass were big enough to provide them a convincing victory.  They won the 20 boat tournament by almost 3 full pounds of bass.  Marvin Ross and Eugene Zuber were able to squeak their way into second place by only four-hundredths of a pound over Ron Mounts and Darrel Fletcher.  Ron and Darrel caught fish late in the afternoon, including the tournament's biggest fish (4.20 lbs), to pull themselves into a third place finish.  A little further back were Brad Kieffner and Billy Keedy in fourth and Aaron Simpson and Josh Stokes in fifth.  Please visit our website (www.jcbassclub.blogspot.com) for more details.

Tourney Stats
20 boat
37 fishermen
54 bass weighed
102.58 lbs of bass
6 out of 20 boats weighed a limit
Water temperature approx 58-63 degrees
---------------------------------------
It was a warm, but windy day that did not produce fish like many people figured it would.  Twelve of the 20 boats weighed less than four keepers, but somebody will always catch 'em!  Another great crowd, too!  We will fish again on April 6th at Norfork out of the Jordan Landing.  We will try to update the website with pictures and AOY standings in the next few days.  Thanks again to our sponsors:

Lake Conway pre-fishing CLOSED!!!

For all you guys that may be new to the club or haven't fished with us in a while, our pre-fishing rule states that the lake is CLOSED from Sunday night throughout the entire week of the upcoming tournament.  The good news is this means that we are only a few days away from fishing another JCBC tournament.  If weather forecasts are correct, it looks like Saturday should be a splendid day for fishing!

For now, we will plan to launch at 7:00 (as long as visibility is ok), and we will plan to fish until 3pm.  So try to be there around 6:30.

I anticipate that we will have around 20 boats again, so I hope to see you all there.  If you have any questions, please feel free to call me (870-512-9400).

Be Safe!

Lake Conway....coming up!

We are just over a week away from fishing again.  On March 16th, we will launch from Palarm Creek Landing on Lake Conway.  I don't know what time we will start, but I will try to update that in the next few days.  So far, the long-term forecast looks ok.  It should be much warmer than the first tournament.  I don't see any reason why we won't fish 8 hours.

We had 21 boats at our first tournament and it was COLD.  I really hope we follow that up with another great turnout.  It should set up for more fish to be caught than the first tournament.

Be careful if you are going pre-fishing this weekend.  I hope to see you all there next Saturday!!!
