Congratulations to Nicky Gates and Jesse Cordell!  They brought 19.17 pounds of bass to the Lake Conway weigh-in to claim their second victory of the 2013 season.  Their large sack of fish combined with their win helped them claim the lead in the 2013 Angler of the Year standings.  The end of year JCBC Classic will now determine which duo will be crowned JCBC AOY!  Ron Mounts and Darrel Fletcher are 6.25 points behind in second place.

Congrats also goes to Rick Sampson and Bart Gaskin!  They survived the heat to bring a solid 13.63 lbs to the scale to place second at Conway.  Third place went to Brad Kieffner and Billy Keedy with 12.22 pounds.  They remain in third place in the AOY standings ahead of Doug Cockrill and Dennis Browning.  Doug and Dennis finished in 4th place with only 3 fish that weighed 11.36 pounds.  Their sack included the big fish of the day, a 5.73 pound Faulkner County Pad Crasher!  Fifth place belonged to Marvin Ross and Eugene Zuber.  They maintain their 5th place spot in the AOY standings behind Doug and Dennis and just ahead of Jason Walker and Jason Gates.

The Classic will determine a lot of things this year.  Their are a few races that are not yet decided.  There is a very tight race for the AOY Championship between Gates/Cordell and Mounts/Fletcher.  Less than 13 points separate 3rd from second.  Less than 11 points separate 5th from 4th and less than 5 points separate 6th from 5th.  Anything can happen at the CLASSIC!!!

Remember, the Classic will pay 5 spots and we will have a Big Bass and a 2nd Big Bass!

I would like to say a special thanks to Ken Youngblood and Mark Watson!  They have been responsible all year for making sure the scales and scoreboard are at each tournament.  They have also weighed fish all year, and after fishing all day that is not something that most people "want" to do.  So, Thanks again Blood and Mark!
----------------------------------------
I would also like to thank our Club Sponsors!  Because of them, we will be able to pay out pretty good amounts for both the Classic and AOY top 5!

August 24th Tournament (Schedule Change)

Due to the forecasted water level on the White River at Clarendon, we have moved the August 24th tournament to Lake Conway.  We will launch out of Palarm Creek at 6:00.  Please try to be there around 5:30 or so.

Thanks to everybody that attended tonight's meeting.  It was a much better turnout than I had expected, but it just shows that our club has great participation.

Please call with any questions.
