Congratulations to Ron Mounts and Darrel Fletcher!  They won their second tournament in a row in dominant fashion.  They brought a whopping 22.39 pounds of bass to the scale to win the tournament by over 4 1/2 pounds.  The second place sack was caught by Nicky Gates and Jesse Cordell.  They hauled just under 18 pounds to the scales to keep the lead in the updated AOY standings.  Third went to Bill Wooten and Eddie Watkins.  They had just under 17 pounds with their 5 fish.  Fourth place was Doug Cockrill and Dennis Browning (13.60 lbs), and Fifth was Aaron Simpson and Josh Stokes (13.24 lbs).  Aaron and Josh also landed a 5.49 pound Lake Conway Thunder Monkey to take the Big Bass for the day!  The weather was tough, but that didn't keep the fish from biting.  Thanks again to our sponsors:  Diaz Scrap Metal, George Kell Motors, White River Beverage, 67 Liquor, and Greenway Equipment!!!

Lake Conway #2 Tourney

Everybody get ready for record low temps Saturday morning.  Hopefully the bass will cooperate and bite some for us.  The forecast for Friday is rain, and Saturday looks cloudy and unseasonably cold (chance of rain as well).  Please be prepared for the weather.  I still expect us to have a good crowd at the Palarm Creek ramp.

It looks like all of the conversations that took place late last week resulted in the correct decision.  Maybe Conway won't get too much rain and the lake will fish ok.

We are going to launch from Palarm at 6:30.  We will most likely fish until 2:30.  After the tournament, we will discuss future locations if enough people stick around.

Be careful!  I hope to see everybody there.

Another SCHEDULE CHANGE!!!

I am very sorry for the confusion on our upcoming tournament.  I have had a number of people express concern to me about the river level with all of the rain that we have gotten (or will get).  I have talked to a number of people today, and the majority of guys agree that we should change the location from the White River.  During my talks with people, we discussed other options.  Lake Conway seems to be the lake that will usually be least affected by the rain.  If it comes up, it might actually help fishing.  I contacted the head of the Fisheries Division of the AGFC and he assured me that Palarm Creek Ramp is open and the lake is in great condition (no oil).

After talking to a number of guys, I decided that a decision needed to be made today to allow people to pre-fish this weekend.  Ultimately, the thought is that if the rivers swell this weekend and then we get another good rain next week, the White and Black would not be good at all.  If it happens to rain late next week, Conway should still be ok to fish.  I realize that it is inconvenient for some.  If you have already pre-fished, I am sorry.  I had already been to Hurricane before we changed from there, so I understand.

So, we are going to fish our next tournament at Lake Conway (May 4th).  We will fish out of Palarm Creek.  We will discuss after that tournament what everybody wants to do about future locations for our other upcoming tournaments.

Thank you all for your understanding.  If you have any questions or concerns, please give me a call.

IMPORTANT....Schedule Change

Due to Hurricane being high and possibly closed, we are going to change the location for our upcoming tournament.  We will now fish the White River at Jacksonport on May 4th.  We will change the June 15th tournament to Hurricane and move the following tournament to Horner/Shirey/Portia.

May 4    Jacksonport
June 15  Hurricane
July 13   Horner/Shirey/Portia

Everything after that remains as scheduled

Please spread the word and call with any questions!
Thanks
