The Jackson County Bass Club recently fished the Jerry Lane Memorial Bass Tournament on the White River at Jacksonport.  The winners were Doug Cockrill and Dennis Browning.  They only brought 4 bass to the scales, but they included the two biggest fish of the tournament (4.45 and 3.90 lbs).  They were the only boat that had double digit weight on a difficult day of fishing, and that helped propel them to third in the AOY standings.  Congrats to Doug and Dennis!  Second place belonged to Nicky Gates and Jesse Cordell.  Their 5 fish limit weighed 8.82 pounds.  They maintain their second place position in the AOY standings.  Ron Mounts and Darrel Fletcher finished third with 8.19 pounds.  They continue to lead the AOY standings with only two regular season tournaments remaining.  Fourth place was Jason Walker and Jason Gates with 5 bass that weighed 8.12 pounds and Fifth place was the team of Justin Doyle and Chip Youngblood with 4 bass and 7.14 pounds.

White River at Jacksonport Tourney

We are less than a week away from our next Jackson County Bass Club tournament.  We will fish out of Jacksonport on the White River (and adjoining waters).  We will launch at 5:30 Saturday morning, July 13th.

Please remember that the river and adjoining waters are CLOSED, so you can't be on them at all (fishing or not fishing).  Please remind anybody from our club that you see that our rule states that the water is not to be accessed again until Saturday morning.

I look forward to seeing everybody Saturday morning!
